Extra Points: Week 10 Studs

Last week in fantasy was a bit of a lull, considering that four team defenses made up the top 13 scorers. Didn't see that one coming, hence the 4-5-5 record (28-23-18 season). Another week is upon us, albeit a few days early, and changes are in the air. Let's get right to it.
Broncos at Browns
Derek Anderson didn't play his way out of the starting position in Cleveland. I don't care what Romeo Crennel says, the fans got what they wanted, and Brady Quinn is in. Anderson had 14 fantasy points last week, in a week when the top scorer had 21. That's why I am going with Brady Quinn as a starter this week. 1- He has been waiting forever for this opportunity. 2- He is playing against the Broncos. 3- He has Braylon Edwards, who won't drop passes. 4- The Browns aren't a bad team.

Saints at Falcons
I am all about the Falcons this year, when they are at home.. I love Matt Ryan and what he has done for the city. But, since I have already picked Matt Ryan, I'll tell you to take Michael Turner. The Saints give up big rushes each week and Turner hasn't scored a touchdown since week 6. He is overdue. Falcons win.

Titans at Bears
I am going to ride the wave with this streaky player. No, it's not who you think it is. I'm playing Rob Bironas. The guy has 37 points in his last three games and double-digit scoring performances in four of his last five games. It's no the same Bears' defense of the past. Titans will put up points.

Jaguars at Lions
I couldn't tell you who is playing quarterback for the Lions this week. Thus, it makes it easy to tell you to play the Jaguars D/ST. Regardless of Culpepper or Orlovsky, the Jaguars will dominate both sides of the football. I really wanted to pick a Lions player this week, maybe next time.

Seahawks at Dolphins
Another team, the Seahawks, in which I look at and can't find anyone who I'd start. But the Dolphins on the other hand are suddenly a Fantasy Gold Mine. Ronnie Brown is going to have a huge week. The man hasn't had a 100-yard rushing game since week 5. Another man long overdue.

Packers at Vikings
A great game last weekend for Berrian. This week I'll go to the other side of the field and take Donald Driver. Driver had a breakout week last week and could be starting a nice streak leading into fantasy playoffs in a few weeks. If you can trade for him low, do so. If you have him, start him.

Bills at Patriots
A game for first place? What's scarier is that they aren't the only two teams battling for first in this division. One of the most reliable players for the Patriots has been Kevin Faulk, and suddenly his role is larger with the absence of other running backs. The Bills have a good defense, but the Patriots utilize Faulk extremely well, especially on third down. Trivia: Who is the all-time receptions leader for the Patriots? A: Kevin Faulk.

Rams at Jets
What if the Jets beat Oakland a few weeks ago? They'd be in first place all alone! That's the type of season it's been. Speaking of third down backs, and guys with a more featured role, Leon Washington has become a prominent part of the Jets offense. 2 weeks ago versus Kansas City, Washington went off for a great fantasy day. This week, same weak defense, different team name.

Ravens at Texans
This is a tough one to pick. I love the Ravens' running game, but I don't know who is going to play. So instead I'll take Joe Flacco. It's certainly a name I didn't think I'd be calling out 10 weeks ago. When's the last time Flacco threw an INT? Week 6. The Texans are weak against the pass and Flacco has a pal in Derrick Mason. Flacco goes another weak without a pick.

Panthers at Raiders
I made a mistake a few weeks ago taking Jonathan Stewart for the Panthers. What I should have said was, play DeAngello Williams. First, it's the Raiders, and we recall what Leon Washington did versus them. If Washington can do it, everyone can do it, and everyone has been doing it against Oakland. Williams has 29 fantasy points in his last two games. Could he get 29 in this game alone?

Colts at Steelers
A big Monday Night win for the Colts. Fast forward and the Colts are matched up against a tough Steelers defense. If Eli can have a mediocre day though versus the Steelers, Peyton Manning can have a great day. Peyton hasn't made much noise this season. He has to have one of those games where people take him more seriously. I don't see any real reason why it can't happen here.

Chiefs at Chargers
This is easy. LaDainian Tomlinson will be the fantasy stud of the week. I'd rush for a touchdown or two against the Chiefs. I don't know what else to say about this. I try to avoid the obvious, but sometimes I can't help it.

Giants at Eagles
I don't know if LJ Smith is playing or not, but if he isn't take the Eagles TE Brent Celek. A heavy pass rush will force McNabb to throw short passes. Celek had 131 yards last week. This week will be more like 80 yards and a score.

49ers at Cardinals
I told you a few weeks ago to play Tim Hightower, maybe a week or two prematurely, but I hope you are playing him now. Every week I make a real wild card pick and it seems to pay off. Last week it was Steve Smith of the Giants. This week, I am going to say that Steve Breaston will have a great game. The WR for the Cardinals is easily overshadowed in this offense, but he is a great third option for Warner. He also returns kicks, so he will have a few extra touches. I can't exactly explain why, but I think my ESP is kicking in.

Seriously, has anyone been reading the past few weeks. I'm scary good as of late with the no-names.

Here's another one, I told you so.

I won two games this week thanks to the former Wolverine, Steve Breaston. Nice job!
